I have decided, after watching a few interviews of her, that Jennifer Lawrence is now one of my favorite actresses.
I always thought she had pretty decent acting chops (did a great job with what she was given in First Class and wonderful in The Hunger Games), but damn does she have personality!
Funny and quirky as hell; she’s pretty much clinically insane.

I miss having a certain intimacy with my music. It used to be I knew every song’s beats and lyrics by heart. After two beats, I’d know what song, whom it was by, and the album it was on.
With the recent super influx of information I have via the internet, it’s been hard to keep up with all the great music one person can find.
So, I decided I’m going to slow it down. For a yet to be chosen period of time, I want to listen to just a few albums (3 to be exact) per week, and only those albums on my mp3 player (not an iPod…I know, I’m one of those people).
Hopefully this helps me back into knowing my music as well as I used to.
This week I’ll be starting with Bon Iver’s For Emma, Forever Ago; David Choi’s “By My Side”; and Ed Sheeran’s “+”. We’re starting with these three because I’m just a big sap for a good love song.
One of the greatest things that never happened…but definitely should have.

Marina Abramović - The Artist Is Present: This emotional exhibit, held in the Museum of Modern Art for three months in early spring 2010, featured Abramović sitting in a chair for the entirety of the day at the museum. Visitors were encouraged to sit silently across from the artist for a duration of their choosing, becoming participants in the artwork. Abramović, acting as an “emotional mirror” to the patrons, silently stared at them, often inducing deeply profound and heartbreaking reactions.

Fear is a cannibal that feeds upon itself. It lives in every dark shadow—waits around every corner. It can be in two places at once…on the path ahead, yet somehow always behind you. Fear hides in every decision, questioning your every move.
And it’s your fault.
You are the one who gives it life. You are the parent of your own fear. Every instinct tells us we can do nothing in the face of that which terrifies us.
But that’s what fear is—instinct. We run because that is our nature. Better to run away and live to fight another day, or so the saying goes.
But if we run, the cannibal feeds and grows stronger.
Better to run towards your fear. Better still to face it. Stare it in the eye. Make it blink. Watch it
shrink.

Today was kids corner at the shop. A bunch of parents brought in their 4-7 year olds for me to read some kid comics to them. I love it. Besides Free Comic Book Day, kids corner is pretty awesome. My niece still begs me to take her out of school to attend.
Anyways today we did side walk chalk art…
